The DC-W Series

Our range of coolers includes both dry (DC-D series) and adiabatic models (DC-W series), available in single- or
double-row configurations, offering maximum installation flexibility according to available space. Designed for outdoor applications, these units combine robust construction with weather-resistant materials, ensuring consistent performance and long operational life even under demanding conditions.

Frame

DC series units are constructed from 20/10 pre-painted sheet metal, providing high structural robustness. Connections are protected by dedicated covers safeguarding the collectors, and, upon request, various surface treatments are available depending on the installation site to preserve the cooler’s long-term performance.

Fans

All models are equipped with EC Brushless fans with variable speed, ensuring quiet operation, reduced electrical
consumption, and precise airflow adjustment according to thermal load. EC technology guarantees high energy
efficiency
and reduced mechanical wear, extending operational life. In the V1 configuration, fans are set in a
single row, while V2 models feature a double-row layout to increase airflow and heat transfer capacity.

Heat exchange batteries

State-of-the-art heat exchange coils feature optimized tube and row geometry to maximize heat exchange capacity. Installed in a V-configuration within the frame, they are separated by a partition allowing independent operation of the two fan rows (V2 models). The coils are treated with an electrolytic coating to maintain corrosion resistance. Each unit is pressure-tested up to 18 bar to ensure tightness and long-term reliability.

The adiabatic technology

The adiabatic technology is based on a natural principle of thermodynamics: the evaporation of water to remove
heat from the air.

In adiabatic coolers, the incoming air passes through cellular pads made of cellulose material (typically
technical cardboard) that are wetted. During this process, part of the water evaporates and absorbs thermal
energy from the air, resulting in a temperature reduction before the air reaches the heat exchange coils.

This process ensures significantly higher efficiency compared to dry solutions, maintaining high performance even under critical climatic conditions.

Our solution

The adiabatic solution by HT-Cooling is designed to ensure maximum efficiency without waste: the system does not require water recirculation nor continuous drain piping. The entire operation is managed by a dedicated
controller, which dynamically optimizes both water and energy consumption.
System control is based on a combined digital sensor capable of detecting both air temperature and relative
humidity. In addition, a second temperature probe is installed inside the saturation chamber to ensure accurate monitoring of operating conditions.
By measuring relative humidity, the system can precisely determine the maximum achievable saturation level and therefore the target air temperature in terms of Wet Bulb temperature. The controller processes the collected
data in real time, calculating the corresponding wet bulb temperature starting from the dry bulb one.
Thanks to this reference value under saturation conditions, the system can automatically stop the water flow to the adiabatic pads once the set temperature inside the saturation chamber has been reached. This prevents unnecessary water consumption by avoiding irrigation of the pads when no additional cooling benefit can be achieved.

Benefits of our adiabatic solution

Reduced energy consumption
The evaporative process lowers process water temperature with minimal electrical absorption, significantly reducing operating costs.

Reduced chiller load
The adiabatic cooler can integrate with or partially replace chillers, reducing operating hours, minimizing wear, and lowering maintenance requirements.

Controlled evaporation without direct spraying
Water evaporates through high efficiency wetted surfaces without dispersed spraying or aerosol release into the environment. Thanks to the proprietary control system, water consumption is precisely adjusted to actual operating needs.

Lower operating costs
Low energy consumption and a simple design help reduce operating costs, minimize maintenance interventions, and improve return on investment.

Sustainable technology
The system uses the natural principle of evaporation to reduce electrical energy consumption and improve environmental sustainability.

Control

The core of the range lies in the control system, designed, tested, and developed exclusively for HT-Cooling. The HT-Cooling platform provides complete management of both adiabatic and dry units, based on a fully programmed and parameterized system.
The 7” touch operator panel (remote version also available as an option) allows monitoring of the cooler and
adjustment of operational parameters according to line requirements, including:
• Delivery, return, wet bulb, ambient (temperature and humidity).
• Fan status.
• Installed pump status.
• Adiabatic system operation.
• Water level in the storage tank (if available as an option).
• Filling valve status (if available as an option).
The system integrates the EASY ACCESS 2.0 feature, simplifying monitoring and troubleshooting via HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and PLC, even from remote locations. EASY ACCESS 2.0 also supports remote assistance, enabling direct supervision of the unit status from any authorized location.
